A Thanksgiving Prayer
I thank and praise you, God
for creating and sustaining the universe
with your infinite love and wisdom.
You are an all-powerful and awesome God
yet patient and humble
and eternally giving.
You are the giver of life:
you cause every living thing to breath,
grow, move and multiply.
You manifest yourself to us in many ways:
you are all around us,
and you are within us.
I thank and praise you
for your continuing sustenance.
Amen
(A prayer composed in summer of 2003.)

A beautiful prayer which reflects, also, the real spirit of Christmas, not what passes nowadays for Christmas, a festival, incidentally, stolen from the Pagans by the Christians who - in North America, anyway - had it stolen from them by the Capitalists.
That poem/prayer really touched my heart RohMih. It encapsulated and expressed what I would (if I know how to) write as a thanksgiving. An experience way back in 1996 showed me that God is a force, an energy, an essence (I don't know how to aptly describe) that permeates the whole our being. 'Our' meaning all of us here in this earth whether living or inanimate entities. He is within and without and the very fabric of life in this plane. Hugs to you RohMih ... thanks for sharing.
Hi, Celia!Real experiences, especially in 2003, led me to greater realization that God is ever present around us and in us. It's like you are in the midst of a thick fog, so you conclude that God is not there because you don't see God; but when the fog disappears or is lifted up, lo and behold! God is there and always there!
RohMih, I really love this poem. With your permission, can I reproduce this in my blog? I will do full attribution to you of course. Okay lang ba?
Sure, Celia! You can post this prayer on your blog. No problem about that. God bless you!
